Getting started

How do I get started?

Request an appointment online or send us a question. We’ll ask a few questions about what you’re looking for, check your insurance, and schedule your first visit.

Do I need a referral?

You can contact us directly. If a doctor, school, court or another provider has referred you, bring any paperwork they gave you.

What happens at the first appointment?

Your first visit is a conversation. We’ll talk about what brought you in and what you want to change, then talk through your options. You decide on your treatment plan together with us. We’ll let you know how long to plan for when we schedule it.

What should I bring?
  • Photo ID
  • Your insurance or Medicaid card
  • A list of any medications you take
  • Any referral paperwork
  • For a child: custody or guardianship papers, if they apply
Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. We’re a telehealth-first practice. Therapy, Intensive Outpatient, case management and medication support all happen by secure video, and your first visit can be by video too. Day Treatment for children and teens takes place in our office. Office visits at 2000 W. Henderson Rd., Ste 10 are by appointment only.

Can I walk in?

We don’t take walk-ins. All visits, including office visits, are scheduled ahead of time. Request an appointment online or send us a question and we’ll set it up. If this is an emergency, call 911. If you’re in crisis, you can call or text 988.

What do I need for a telehealth visit?
  • A phone, tablet or computer with a camera
  • A private, quiet space where you can talk freely
  • A steady internet connection

We’ll send you a secure link and instructions before your visit.

What are your hours?

Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern. All visits are by appointment. Request an appointment and we’ll find a time that works.

Programs

Which program is right for me?

You don’t have to figure that out on your own. At your first visit we’ll talk about what’s going on and go over the options with you: therapy, a program that meets several days a week, our daytime program for kids and teens, case management, or a combination. We don’t tell you which program you have to do; we build the plan together. You can see who each program serves on our programs page.

What’s the difference between outpatient and intensive outpatient?

Outpatient Treatment is regular therapy, one on one or in a group, scheduled around your life. Intensive Outpatient (IOP) meets several days a week, for adults dealing with mental health or substance use, or both, who need more than a weekly session but don’t need a hospital stay. You live at home either way.

Do you treat both mental health and substance use?

Yes. We help with mental health, drinking or drug use, and both at the same time, in one place.

Do you offer psychiatry or medication management?

Yes. Our psychiatrist and psychiatric nurse practitioner provide psychiatric care and medication management for teens and adults, by secure video or in our office by appointment. Medication support

Do you offer language support?

Our team speaks several languages, and free interpreter services are available. Tell us your preferred language when you contact us. Language support

What does case management do?

Case management is hands-on help connecting you with the clinical, medical and community resources you need, and coordinating your care across the different providers involved.

Insurance and cost

What insurance do you accept?

Coverage depends on your plan. Call us with your insurance or Medicaid card and we’ll check it for you before your first visit.

What if I don’t have insurance?

Call us anyway. We’ll talk through your options with you.

Parents and guardians

Can I call on behalf of my child?

Yes. A parent or guardian can call to start the process and ask questions before anything is scheduled.

Which programs serve children and teens?

Therapy and case management are for children, teens and adults. Our daytime program (Day Treatment) is just for children and teens. The several-days-a-week program (Intensive Outpatient) is for adults only.

Does my child live at home during Day Treatment?

Yes. Young people take part in the program during the day and go home every evening.

Privacy

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. Your health information is protected by federal privacy law, including HIPAA and, for substance use treatment records, 42 CFR Part 2. We share information only with your written consent or when the law requires it.

Can I email you about my situation?

Email is fine for questions and scheduling, but please don’t include medical details. Call us and we’ll talk privately.

Referral partners

How do I refer a client?

Use our secure online referral form with your client’s name, contact details and the program you’re referring to. It’s the safest way to send client details. For general referral questions only, you can email [email protected]; please don’t send diagnoses or clinical details by email.

Who do you work with?

Behavioral health organizations, hospitals and treatment centers, schools and youth organizations, and community resource centers.
